How to book your PTE test online
Booking your PTE Academic exam is done entirely through the official Pearson portal. The process takes around 10–15 minutes from start to confirmation.

Create a Pearson account
Visit pearsonpte.com and click "Create Account." Fill in your personal details using the exact same name that appears on your passport. Store your credentials — you will use them to access results later.

Choose your test type
Once logged in, select "Book PTE Academic." You will be asked about your destination country and purpose — Study, Work, Migrate or Join family. If applying for a UK Student Visa, select the UKVI version — it is a separate test with different fees.

Select your preferred test centre
Enter your preferred city to browse available centres and upcoming dates. Review multiple centres before confirming — different locations may have different availability on your preferred dates.

Pick a test date and time

Enter your identification details
Enter your passport details exactly as they appear on the document. Your ID name must match your registration name character-for-character. Even a single character difference can result in denial of entry on exam day.

Complete payment
PTE Academic fees in Australia typically range between AUD $395–$435 depending on your location. Payment is made securely through the Pearson online portal by credit or debit card.

Receive your booking confirmation
After payment you receive a confirmation email containing your test centre address, date and time, and registration number. Save or print this — you will need it on exam day alongside your passport.
